Gina's art is inspired by nature and her passions for clay and fibers. It is organic and earthy with accents of color. Stoneware clay is textured and highlighted with oxide washes and variegated glazes suggest nature's elements of earth and water. Lacing and stitches enhance many of her pieces along with accents of handmade beads. Unique fiber studies are created by layering and quilting petals, leaves, seeds and fibers. The visual and textural contrasts invite one to touch and explore the rich surfaces. Glazes are food safe. Art with fiber additions is hand washable.No leather is used in any of Gina's work. Artist's Statement:     My art combines natural and man-made elements. Each design has an origin of thought; a metaphor for its being, but its final message is created by you.
